Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

63Megan_Fox-Transformers_Revenge_of_the_Fallen-imageThe good and the bad Transformers clash again. That listless recap reflects how much I cared about the events onscreen. For a giant robot movie, the plot was needlessly convoluted. Revenge of the Fallen made a world with Transformers in it seem annoying instead of fun. Incoherent editing rendered the action scenes a confusing, uninvolving mess. It was very difficult to tell one junkheap from another. Throw in the trademarks of director Michael Bay (gratuitous camera movement; explosions to the point of overkill; portrayal of women as slutty sex objects), and you’ve got an all-around winner. The sound effects were cool, though.
